This course will provide the foundations for Liberatory STEAM Education by teaching to center STEAM Identity as a form of healing centered Education practice for collective Thriving.

Course Details

This is a learning experience through the practices that liberate students to engage and feel welcome in a space that usually has marginalized them. Educators will leave the workshop with tools and principles they can directly implement in the classroom, such as liberatory co-design, culturally responsive STEAM or decolonial STEAM.

Eligibility

STEAM Educators who are currently teaching in K-12 or with the community, such as non-profits/community centers.

Compensation

Educators will receive a $250 stipend for attendance and implementation, as well as food delivery for both sessions.
